[ဗမာလို ⬇️⬇️⬇️]

This was around March 2023. I was in another country at the time.

There was a small restaurant below the place I was staying, where I often went for meals. One day, the owner, a lady, told me that her daughter would be graduating from high school the following week. But she also mentioned that her daughter wasn't really happy about school. Wanting to cheer her up, she asked if I could draw a cartoon of her daughter in a graduation outfit so she could give it to her as a gift.

She knew that I could draw but didn't seem too familiar with digital or traditional art. Since I ate at her restaurant almost every day, I decided to do it for her. When I handed her the illustration, she immediately asked how much she owed me. I told her it was a gift and that she didn't need to pay. She was overjoyed, smiling as she looked at the drawing. Seeing her that happy made me happy too.

Back in my own country, I've seen children who can't even access education, forced to flee, struggling to survive, and missing out on the chance to learn. It feels like a deep wound in my heart. But at the same time, I know that everyone in this world has their own life and their own story. I'm just glad that, in the lady and her daughter's story, I could add a small piece of happiness through my art.

၂၀၂၃ မတ်လ​လောက်က ဖြစ်မယ်။ ကျွန်​တော် နိုင်ငံတခုကို ​ရောက်​နေတဲ့အချိန်​ပေါ့။ နေ​​နေတဲ့ အိမ်​အောက်က ကျွန်​တော်စား​နေကျ ထမင်းဆိုင်က အ​ဒေါ်ကြီးက သူ့သမီး​လေးက ​နောက်အပတ် high school graduate ဖြစ်မှာတဲ့။ ဒါ​ပေမယ့် သူက ​ကျောင်းတက်ရတာ မ​ပျော်ဘူးဖြစ်​နေတယ်တဲ့။ အဲဒါ သူ့ကို ​ပျော်သွား​အောင် လုပ်ချင်လို့ အမှတ်တရအနေနဲ့ သူဘွဲ့ယူ​နေတဲ့ ကာတွန်းပုံ​လေး လက်​ဆောင်​ပေးချင်လို့ဆိုပြီး ကျွန်​တော့်ကို ပုံလာအပ်တယ်။

သူက ကျွန်​တော့်ကို ပုံဆွဲတယ်ဆိုတာပဲ သိတာ။ digital ​တွေ traditional ​တွေ သိပ်နားလည်တဲ့ပုံ မ​ပေါ်ဘူး။ ကျွန်​တော်လည်း ကိုယ်​နေ့တိုင်းနီးပါး စား​နေတဲ့ ဆိုင်​လေးဆို​တော့ ဒီပုံလေး ဆွဲ​ပေးဖြစ်လိုက်တယ်​ပေါ့။ ဆွဲပြီး အ​ဒေါ်ကြီးကို အဲ့ပုံ​လေး​ပေးလိုက်​တော့ သူက ဘယ်​လောက်​ပေးရမလဲတဲ့။ ကျွန်​​တော်ကလည်း မလိုပါဘူး... လက်​ဆောင်​ယူလိုက်ပါဆို​တော့ သူအရမ်း​ပျော်သွားတယ်။ ပုံလေးတကြည့်ကြည့်နဲ့။ သူပျော်တာမြင်ပြီး ကျွန်တော်လည်း ပီတိဖြစ်ရပါတယ်။

ကိုယ့်နိုင်ငံမှာတော့ ကလေးတွေ ကျောင်းတက်ခွင့်မရတာတွေ၊ ပြေးရလွှားရတာတွေ ဘာတွေနဲ့ ပညာမသင်ရတာတွေကို မြင်နေကြုံနေရတော့ ရင်ထဲမှာ ဒဏ်ရာတခုလို ခံစားနေရတယ် ဆိုပေမယ့်လည်း... ကမ္ဘာပေါ်မှာ လူတွေအားလုံးက သူ့ဘဝ သူ့ story နဲ့သူ ကိုယ်စီရှိကြတာမို့ သူတို့ story အတွက် ကျွန်တော် ပုံလေးတခု ဖြည့်စွက်ပေးခဲ့ရတာ ဝမ်းသာပါတယ်။
