ဒီပုံ​လေးကို ၂၀၂၂၊ စက်တင်ဘာ ၂ ရက်​နေ့က ဆွဲခဲ့တာ။ ဆွဲတုန်းက ဘာတွေတွေးခဲ့လဲ?
This illustration was created on September 2nd, 2022. What was I thinking while illustrating it?

1.

Sketch ချ၊ စိတ်ကူးထဲကဟာကို မျက်လုံးထဲ အကြမ်းမြင်လာ​အောင် ​တောင်ခြစ်​မြောက်ခြစ် ခြစ်။ ဟိုဖျက်ဒီဖျက် ပြန်ပြင်၊ လုပ်ချင်တာလုပ်။

I sketched, turning my idea into a rough visual with strokes, erasing, tweaking, and adjusting along the way.

Brainstorm လို့ပြီးသွားရင် sketch ကို ပြန်သ။ ပုံမှန်​တော့ ဒီအဆင့်မှာ composition ​တွေဘာ​တွေ တခါတည်းချတယ်။ ဒီပုံမှာ​တော့ composition ပြန်ချိန် ပြန်ချတာ​တွေ လုပ်မထားဘူး။ ဒီတိုင်း စိတ်ကူးထဲက flow အတိုင်း ခပ်မြန်မြန် ဗြင်းဗြင်းပဲ ဆွဲလိုက်မယ်ဆိုပြီး pen ကို ကိုင်လိုက်တာမို့ ပြန်သတဲ့ အဆင့်​တွေ မလုပ်​တော့ဘဲ ဆက်ပဲ ကြုံးလိုက်တယ်။ Character inking တခါတည်း ပြီးသွား​ကော။

After brainstorming, I moved on to sketching. Normally, I’d refine the composition at this stage, but for this piece, I skipped it. Because, I picked up the pen first, deciding to go with the flow of the idea, quickly sketching and creating a fast illustration.

3.

လိုင်းအ​ချောသတ် (Inking) လုပ်တယ်။ ဒါ​တော့ရှင်းတယ်။ အဖိအ​ဖော့​လည်း ​သေချာမလုပ်​တော့ဘူး။ လက်က သွားသလိုပဲ။

I did the line work (inking), keeping it straightforward. I didn’t focus on pressure control or line variation, just letting my hand flow naturally.

Color မခြယ်ခင် color အတွက် Brush အသစ်​လေး​တွေ ​​လျှောက်ကလိကြည့်လိုက်​သေးတယ်။ စိတ်ကူး​ပေါက်သလို​ပေါ့။ မိုက်မလား​ပေါ့ စမ်းကြည့်တာ။ မိုက်လည်းမမိုက်ဘူး။

Before adding color, I tried some new brushes, experimenting to see if they looked cool. In the end, they didn’t.

5.

အာ့နဲ့ နောက်မှ စိတ်တိုင်းကျ စမ်း​တော့မယ်၊ ခု​တော့ မြန်မြန်ပဲ ဆွဲမှာဆို​တော့ ကိုယ်ခြယ်​နေကျ အထာ​လေး solid ပဲ ကစ်လိုက်တယ်။ Base color ​လေး ပြီးသွားတယ်​ပေါ့။

I’d experiment with them again later when I had more time. For now, since I was working quickly, I just went with my usual solid colors. The base color was done.

6.

အလင်းအ​မှောင် အကြမ်းဖျင်းထည့်တယ်၊ ပြန်ချိန်တယ်။ ​တော်ပြီဒီ​လောက်ဆို။ အချိန်မကြာ​ကြေး။ ဒီအဆင့်က ဒီ​လောက်ဆို ​ကျေနပ်ပြီ။ ပျင်းတယ်။

I roughly added light and shadow, then adjusted it. I set my own time limit, so I’m satisfied with this stage. Feeling lazy!

7.

အ​ရောင်က ပြား​နေ​သေးတယ်။ ကြီးကြီးမားမားတခုခု လို​နေတယ်။ ​အာ့နဲ့ ​နေ​ရောင်​လေးပစ်ထည့်လိုက်တယ်။ ​ရော့... အင့်...။ အို​ခေ... ပြီးသ​လောက်ရှိပြီဆို​တော့ sign ​လေးထိုး။

The colors still felt flat. It needed something bigger. So, I added some sunlight and warm colors. Wheesh, whoosh. Aight, it’s good enough now. Time for the signature!

8.

တော်ပြီ ရပြီ ဒီ​လောက်ဆို။ ​ကျေနပ်ပြီ။ မြန်မြန်ဆွဲဖို့ စခဲ့တာဆို​တော့ မြန်မြန်ပြီးဖို့လိုတယ်။ ​ရေစက်​လေး​တွေ နည်းနည်းတို့။ Retouch ​လေးလုပ်ပြီး အဆုံးသတ်။ Done! ပြီးပါပြီ။ Bye!!!

Well, that's enough. I'm satisfied. Since I started to make it quick, it needs to be finished quickly. Added a few little water droplets, did some retouching, and wrapped it up. Done! Finished! Bye!!!
